A cake for my daughter’s piano recital. Chocolate, yellow, and marble cakes frosted in buttercream icing. Piping was done with molding chocolate. Raised “music” was formed with a base of poured and shaped white chocolate, piped with molding molding chocolate. Piping of chocolate must be done while the chocolate is still melted. Work fast to keep it from cooling and solidifying in your tip!
Chocolate piped pieces were piped onto waxed paper on a flat surface and then carefully transferred to the cake with the exception of the words, which were piped directly onto the cake surface.
