My daughter’s piano recital…. I can’t just bring a plain cake, right? Here’s what I came up with… Erin, my fantastic assistant and resident piano player, made the piano bench, the keyboard, and piped the Steinway logo. The recital was held at the Steinway Piano Gallery.
I was concerned about holding up the top, but my husband, Ruel, came up with a great idea using hidden supports (and a couple of visible ones) and it worked great. Thanks! And thanks to Chelsea Payne, Erin’s amazing piano teacher!
The “cake” is actually a brownie. Both the base and the piano itself (and the bench) are fashioned out of brownies. Big ones! Two layers with buttercream filling.
